The Felines of Divine Protection are spectacular and align heavily with Mafdet, an Ancient Egyptian Cat Goddess strongly associated with protection. Much like my own experience with Mafdet, the Felines of Divine Protection are quite feisty. They are very in your face with their presence and intentions, and they do not like to be ignored, some going to the point of manifesting minor poltergeist activity to get their presence through. Phantom hissing, baps the hand, and other cat antics occasionally occur. They walk around with little attitudes. Some can be gentler but this spunky energy is a key component in their protections, thus its potency in their personalities. When they at last receive the attention and affection they desire, they enjoy being in close companionship with their human. It can become rewarding in other ways, often in the form of small blessings.
Despite being a $45 listing, Mafdet’s Felines of Divine Protection can come through with as much power as they need to accomplish their task, and are able to evolve alongside the growth of their human so they are always able to safeguard them. As a result of this growth, they can develop large feline forms, often akin to a larger version of a domestic cat or a predator feline such as a tiger or lion. Mafdet’s Felines of Divine Protection take on powers from both the lightest and darkest part of the WA-DA Spectrum, giving them an odd but highly resonant energetic signature. Overall, their personalities are around mid-range Dark Arts. As you might expect, people with cats, or even a fascination with cats, are going to have the easiest time working with this conjuration. Those who do not have or like cats may have to put in the work to build a stronger resonance, but I will see if I can find a similar form of protection-based companion from another Immortal.
