This offering is best thought of as a spell that takes the form of a jewel. This offering is a mighty form of Hera's power that embodies the quality Respect. Its appearance as a jewel is merely a means to help with your visualization and interaction with the spell. The jewel is different for each person; mine appears as a deep blue sapphire with a rhombus cut. This jewel will help you understand all aspects of the word Respect, this includes but isn't limited to: respecting yourself, respecting others, having others respect you, respecting the things around you, respecting the emotions of others, respecting your own emotions, and creating respect among your spirit family not only for you but for them to respect each other and for you to respect them. It affects you directly, and then traces its power through everyone connected to you, while at the same time, creating an aura around you for complete strangers to help those around you respect you and for you to respect them. It starts with the forms you are lacking or even ignoring, and then rounds out from there, and creates a continuous atmosphere of cohesive and harmonious energy that greatly benefits everyone around you. In creating an atmosphere of respect, it also creates feelings of joy, security, and appreciation.
Respect is not just limited to "respect," it also branches off into many other things. For instance, loving relationships need an atmosphere of respect to work well. There needs to be a mutual understanding that is founded partially in respect for a relationship to work at its best, but it's also important to be able to recognize that part of being respectful is in understanding when to let go. This does not force respect, because that would be disrespectful. (I stifled a snicker writing that) It does not force people or spirits to respect each other nor does it force people to respect you or you to respect them, but instead it helps beings see qualities that they ignored before, qualities that deserve attention and praise and admiration. It is not about enforcing your will, but rather creating an atmosphere of equality.
You may also notice other effects from using the Jewel of Respect, but what they are exactly, I can't say because this is more of an individual nature. Mine makes my spirits have a stronger and clearer presence, and this could definitely have it's own ties into the quality of respect.
It is easy to use. You only need to will it to activate. This can be as easy as seeing the jewel orbiting around you, having it light up, or telepathically/physically saying, “I want Hera's Jewel of Respect to activate,” or “I want an aura of respect today,” or even picturing it in your mind and telling it to activate. Whatever way you wish to activate it is up to you as it is an extension of yourself. You can even opt to let it activate when it feels it need to. It is a powerful tool that can be incredibly useful in many different ways. It can be applied to relationships, familial relations, a job environment, raising a family, working with spirits, or even just aiding with an interview or creating compromise. Keep in mind that it always works both ways and you cannot force your will.
This offering represents my own connection to Hera. I have done nothing but try my best to respect her as the queen she is, and in return she has treated me with same respect and sees me as her equal, not a subordinate. It is that feeling of respect, despite differences in rank or power, that is incredibly important for all of us in our lives. It is undervalued and unappreciated, often times overlooked completely in favor for other traits and qualities, but it is impossible to have meaningful interactions without respect. Respect is also not only a powerful trait for leaders, but the defining trait of a great one. Believe me when I say that this Jewel will greatly help and improve your own life and your spiritual journey for the better in many, many ways.
Naturally, owning a Jewel of Respect means you can gain a stronger connection to Hera, if you want to pursue that path. Worship of and/or bonding with Hera is not a necessity, but it may help you gain an even further understanding of what she's trying to teach with this offering.
