Hecate's Globgobbler

GlobGobblers are a fun type of being created by Hecate in the spirit of Halloween. The best way to describe a GlobGobbler is a classic carved pumpkin with tiny, itty, bitty legs and a large mouth. It's expression can change just like any other being, which may be a bit of a surreal experience at first. Their eyes and mouth glow dimly, the color depending on the Globgobbler itself. It also has minor shapeshifting abilities and can turn into similar things like melons and types of squash, and perhaps occasionally can take on other surprising appearances. They are a very friendly and jovial sort of being that act a lot like dogs. They love and adore their keepers, and want to be with and near them as often as they can. They also love all other sorts of beings, both living and spiritual, and seek to make friends wherever they can. They love spending time with other pets or animal spirits in the household, and may fall asleep next to them if they are sleeping. They make for excellent cuddling companions for humans as well.

Globgobblers were created with the spirit of Halloween in mind, so they have abilities that function along the theme of “trick or treat.” Globgobblers are a fount of positive, feel good energies that are an extension of their normal personality. They make things around themselves feel bright, cheery and pleasant. Sleeping with them next to you will promote pleasant dreams and having them near you during the day will help reduce stress and help you have a more positive outlook on life. They have a knack for increasing the inflow of positive energy into their keeper's life and give subtle nudges to have things move their keeper's way. In some ways this may be hardly noticeable, but in others, wonderful little “gifts” may pop up from time to time as a present from your Globgobbler. They also like to nibble on negative energies. It's not quite a full blown cleansing, but you may notice a small bump in feeling better.

However, Globgobblers are not just cuddles and adorableness. They can be incredibly devious tricksters to spiritual intruders. Their overwhelmingly positive, gushy, and sweet energies serve as a lure for things to that seek to crush such feelings. Whether the intruders are spirits, entities, or thoughtforms, the compelling positivity of the Globgobblers makes them an irresistible target to try destroying, far more than any humans nearby. Once noticed by such a being, the Globgobbler will act frighten and helpless to draw them in even closer, and then when the beings is close enough, the Globgobbler spits on them with a thick and bright energy. This is essentially an alarm, marking the being and making it impossible for this being to hide. Your protection team can then swoosh in and clean it up, or at the very least, chase it out of the area. This is an effective defense method against beings that prefer subtle influence that builds over time rather than a brutal, forward assault or beings that like to hide. The mark does not fade easily and should it try another assault, it will be noticed by everything while the mark is on it. However, some beings will either not know what just happened or will still try to harm the Globgobbler regardless. At that point, the Globgobbler activates its next defense, which is to start consuming the energy of its attacker and turn some of its negative energy into positive beneficial energy for its keeper's life.

Now, I don't want any misunderstandings. The Globgobbler is not a primary defensive spirit. It works well on small things, and it can take a toll on much stronger things, but it does not make a good substitute for a strong protection spirit. It works better as an alarm system and it is really good at it, but it can really compliment any defensive team you have in your family. Also, the marking energy that it spits out can sometimes appear dripping out of its mouth when it is really happy. It will be the same color as the glowing light seen in its eyes and mouth.

When you first receive your Globgobbler, I suggest either meditating on its energy, try putting it in your lap, or try meeting in a place you've created within your mind. Definitely welcome it with a hello, and spend lots of time with it. It makes for an excellent friend and has wonderful energy. :)

Ghost Globgobbler
The Ghost Gobgobbler appears much like the stereotypical ghost, akin to a floating and misty sheet. Except, the Ghost Gobgobbler looks as if the sheet is covering a basketball, in that it is very round and wide. It also has stubbly arms and the same adorable expressions associated with the Globgobblers. It has a very similar personality as the original, however, they also enjoy manifesting both audibly and visually. They can appear as wisps of smoke and will make small, adorable “Boooo”, “Wooo,” and “Ooooo” sounds. They are quite cute, and have the same defenses as their pumpkin counterparts. They also have a tendency to make their human companion more open to spiritual experiences and also aid in the working with and understanding of spirit-based magick. This comes in place of the originals power to create “gifts” of positive events.

Globe Globgobbler
The Globe Globgobbler appears as a crystal ball, from there the details vary according to the personality of the Globgobbler. Some have a face on the surface of the glass while others have a cute face made of mist or light within the glass. Some enjoy rolling around, others floating, and a few even enjoy strutting their stuff on little stubby legs. The powers of the Globgobbler are the much the same as their Gourd counterparts, but instead of gifting positive events, Globe Globgobblers are powerfully tied to visions and divination. They are strongly tied to temporal powers and may cue their human companion in on what is about to pass. Some are more tied to the past (allowing for insight and healing), others the various presents (offering glimpses into alternate timelines), and some the future (showing various paths that lay ahead for you and what you need to get there). They are each unique and quite useful to have around. Their defensive capabilities remain much the same. They do not communicate through telepathy but explain themselves through emotional impressions.

In addition to these new types, I offer an additional service, for those interested, of the ability of a Globgobbler to be infused with a particular type of energy. Only one infusion may be performed per single Globgobbler, and each infusion has unique effects that are greatly dependent on the personality of the Globgobbler. Also, if you are already a companion to a Globgobbler, you may have it infused. However, please speak with your Globgobbler first.

Infusion of Terror
This greatly darkens the energy of a Globgobbler and gives them the ability to use terror for the defense of their keeper. This terror is often used to created paralysis through a waking nightmare and an accompaning nightmarish form to trigger it. The specific changes it can create in a Globgobbler are different and dependant on their personality. However, they will not lose their adorable, positive nature.

Infusion of Wonder
This greatly lightens the energy of a Globgobbler and allows them to be an even greater font for blissful, beneficial energies. They will be a transformative force and can bring powerful, positive influences into their human companions life. The specifics are dependent on the personality of the Globgobbler as each one is capable of different things.

Infusion of Magick
There is a special touch of magick in each Globgobbler, naturally as they are created by Hecate, and this infusion greatly empowers this touch. The Globgobbler is elevated to a familiar status and is gifted more potent communicative abilities. They also are given greater insight and potency of their innate talents (Gourds and their sowing of positivity, Ghosts and their spiritual awareness, Globes and their temporal powers) and are able to more efficiently guide their keeper in how to harness this power in themselves.

Naturally, having one of these entities in your spirit family means that you can also gain a stronger connection to Hecate, if you want to pursue that path. Worship of and/or bonding with Hecate is not a necessity, but it may make your Globgobbler even stronger.
