Loki’s Bauble of Poisoned Thorns

Loki’s Bauble of Poisoned Thorns is quite a complex Immortal Artifact that is defensive in nature. An Immortal Artifact is a nonphysical object, as strange as that may sound, that embodies a power. The bauble first appears as a wearable item, either a ring, pendant, or brooch, among others. It is an object that is worn and never again removed. Once initially and intentionally placed upon the self, it becomes integrated within a person’s energetic field. The Bauble begins its work by creating a weaving of energies around a keeper meant to disrupt acts of deception and subterfuge against its wearer. This Artifact works to protect from tricksters and parasites, especially those that attempt to blend in with companions and sow confusion and discord. After so many interactions with the protective weaving of this Artifact, the offending being is tagged so it is unable to blend in, any anchors they’ve set to keep themselves in place are eroded, and their energy is slowly expunged from anything that belongs to the owner of the bauble or any space that the owner primarily resides within. It is incredibly effective but there is one major caveat. The Bauble protects against predators, but if an act against its wearer is self-defense or retaliation due to the wearer’s own predatory acts, the Babule will NOT protect the wearer from it.

The Bauble can be worked with past this initial protection to raise bonding and thus the potency of its defense. What things that may arise from within it is unique to the individual.
