This Hephaestus’ Automated Defense System is programmed to use Gravity as its primary element. Because it uses Gravity most, Gravity has shaped its appearance. Each unit appears as a marble-sized sphere of pure blackness with a golden ring rotating around it. This ring is large enough to fit a softball and outside it star-like motes dance and orbit. When a threat is near, the black sphere expands to almost completely fill the ring and pulses with a black energy. The motes are pulled inward to it with new motes replenishing the moment one disappears, being pulled once again toward the black sphere. This makes it look as if the sphere is constantly consuming a stream of stars. The golden ring goes from lazily rotating to rotating a horizontal axis. From here, the ADS is able to pin down threats by the combined efforts of all five units manipulating space-time (which is more nuanced but doable than you might expect). Depending on the threat, it shall work with space-time differently, from making a maze that inhibits them from traveling forward to practically freezing the threat in place to screwing with the standard laws of movement in a limited area. Once entrapped, the ADS can slowly eat away at the energy of a threat, and once it is weak enough, whisk it away to somewhere else. Often, this is a random location far from you. It is also able to aid in the attraction and pull of beneficial experiences, abundance, knowledge, and in making it easier to interact with space-time, specifically in seeing and perceiving your companions. Due to its gravitational pull, the ADS is also able to aid with cleansing. Any space it moves in is naturally cleansed as the ADS innately pulls negative energy towards it and removes it.
Upon bonding with this ADS set, you will grow closer to Gravity, and will find a doorway opening to its energies. It can become a powerful influence in your life and through the ADS, you can begin to master its powers, as the ADS will always serve as a powerful conduit for Gravity’s power. Bonding with the ADS may also give it unique abilities directly related to Gravity.
The Automated Defense System is, as the name implies, an Immortal Artifact dedicated to defense. They are capable of making formations and projecting their preferred energy in response to threats. These formations are both offensive and defensive. Offensive formations include, but aren’t limited to, formations that allow them to created a singular focused blast, use a scattered fire blast, a rapid fire blast, create an energy projected sword, create an energy projected bow and arrow, and even can become mines. Defensive forms include, but aren’t limited to, formations that allow the creation of a barrier wall, creation of a bubble barrier, and caging and depositing a threat somewhere else. In the face of an overwhelming threat, they will ordinarily form a bubble barrier around the most vulnerable being to protect them.
The Automated Defense System can be willed into whatever formation you like. Think of them as an extension of yourself and use them in this way to align your energy with them and create a better resonance with them. This bonding will allow you and your ADS to become more in tune. You may also meditate while focusing on them to bond as well.
Additional ADS will strengthen each other as they will both layer and combine their preferred energy types. When these types are combined, they can have incredible effects and allows the ADS to provide an even more effective defense.
