This Hephaestus’ Automated Defense System is programmed to use Dragon Lightning as its primary element. Dragon Lightning is a uniquely draconic element with rich primal power. A culture from a distant Draconic Realm reveres it as a sacred force of creation. Because it uses Dragon Lightning most, Dragon Lightning has shaped its appearance. Each unit of this ADS appears as a scaled charcoal gray sphere with a pale golden lens on its front face, a couple ridges of small spines radiate out from the lens and circle the sphere as thin bands. This ADS has a very energetic presence, filling the air with a unique feeling of state. The smell of ozone may be present around it at times too. When this ADS is around, it has a boosting effect on perception and the ability to work with magick and energy. Metaphysical interactions are also improved.
Arcs of electricity constantly flash between the units of this ADS. They often hover around in formation, smaller streamers occasionally exciting between two of them. When a threat is present, this current becomes much more volatile, blooming into a thick current of electricity that buzzes between all the units. When they engage with the threat, they build power between themselves and release a gigantic bolt. This gigantic bolt does not have to be aimed at a target. It will hunt through the area, taking the form of a serpentine dragon made of lightning, and strike at the core of a threat. Once struck, the threat is both severely damaged and literally flung into some random direction away from the house. This “random direction” is not in terms of our physical three dimensions and single dimension of time. It can literally be anywhere, even anywhen. If a threat is utilizing magick against anyone in the home, the ADS is able to strip this magick of its properties and then ignite whatever forming magickal energies reside within the threat. This ADS does not mess around. It hits as hard as it can immediately. For those who feel this can be too much force to use on something inconsequential, you can feel free to give it a certain threshold in which it should strike. Additional abilities may manifest.
This ADS aids overall with increased metaphysical development, greater energetic perception, and improved companion presence and interaction. At times, companions can interact in a sudden burst that is quite detailed, not unlike a flash of lightning.
Upon bonding with this ADS set, you will grow closer to Dragon Lightning, and will find a doorway opening to its energies. It can become a powerful influence in your life and through the ADS, you can begin to master its powers, as the ADS will always serve as a powerful conduit for Dragon Lightning’s power. Bonding with the ADS may also give it unique abilities directly related to Dragon Lightning.
The Automated Defense System is, as the name implies, an Immortal Artifact dedicated to defense. They are capable of making formations and projecting their preferred energy in response to threats. These formations are both offensive and defensive. Offensive formations include, but aren’t limited to, formations that allow them to created a singular focused blast, use a scattered fire blast, a rapid fire blast, create an energy projected sword, create an energy projected bow and arrow, and even can become mines. Defensive forms include, but aren’t limited to, formations that allow the creation of a barrier wall, creation of a bubble barrier, and caging and depositing a threat somewhere else. In the face of an overwhelming threat, they will ordinarily form a bubble barrier around the most vulnerable being to protect them.
The Automated Defense System can be willed into whatever formation you like. Think of them as an extension of yourself and use them in this way to align your energy with them and create a better resonance with them. This bonding will allow you and your ADS to become more in tune. You may also meditate while focusing on them to bond as well.
Additional ADS will strengthen each other as they will both layer and combine their preferred energy types. When these types are combined, they can have incredible effects and allows the ADS to provide an even more effective defense.
