Water Beasts are Dark Arts entities with the ability to cleanse, protect, and offer a greater connection to water magick. It is a creature made entirely of water with a form that can shift and change. Water Beasts normally have a vicious appearance, or at the very least can look quite odd. They tend to stick to one static form, but this does depend on the Water Beast since they do have individual personalities. They may not always appear as pure water and can appear as anything, but they will normally be any shade of blue.

Water Beasts pack a punch of dark energy, but are actually quite docile. They have the ability to cleanse deeply, massaging your aura with soothing waves of watery energy. Sometimes, they soothe so well that you'll want to fall asleep, making them great sleep aid companions. They are also fierce guardians, and will attack anything they feel is a significant threat with powerful claws, teeth, and water. Otherwise, they will oftentimes just cancel out less threatening dark incoming energy by keeping you calm, collected, and shielded, if you want them to. This can make them essential when dealing with darker forms of magick and beings because they can ensure no potentially harmful energy will linger in your space.

They do not have names that humans can easily understand, so feel free to give them a name of your choice. They are more than capable of letting you know if they like it or not.

They also have great intellect that they can adjust, as strange as that might seem. For instance, they can reason at the level of a human but choose to shut that intelligence down to that of an animal because it makes them more focused on the task of protection and guarding. They feel that greater intellect comes with greater distractions. That said, you can reason with your Water Beast about this.

Just as an example of the kind of entity this is, one of my water beasts took an active interest in two of my kittens and even tried to model its form after them. The end result was far from cute and much closer to creepy. He has physically imitated one of my kitten's meows on a few occasions so far, and has even been mischievous and gotten hold of the cord to a phone charger, damaging it in a way that was very much not from a cat. It looked as if the outer rubber part was slit. So while they are fantastic, it is important to keep in mind that they ARE Dark Arts.
