The Blossom Witchling is associated with the growth and promise of spring. It is created by Hecate and works with physical forces and circumstances, dealing with the material manifestation of desire and physical abundance. The Blossom Witchling essentially aids with having a greater ability to shape your life in accordance to your wants and needs. It is a path that takes a lot of work in any circumstance, but with the right approach and mindset, a Blossom Witchling can make for a great guide and companion. Each Blossom Witchling is different and shall have different approaches and focuses when it comes to shaping your life. Some shall help more with aspirations and passions while others may be focused on physical wealth and comfort. Some may seek to create a greater sense of serenity and contentment while others look for creativity and artistic growth. They are intriguing, helpful, and incredibly pleasant to communicate with.
Furthermore, there are seven categories of power from which a Blossom Witchling draws, which shape their focus, personality, and additional capabilities that they might develop. Each power is uniquely elemental and carries its own associations: Flame, Rime, Breath, Storm, Dawn, Night, and Dream. Within each of these properties are five tiers of strength a Blossom Witchling will grow through. The first four tiers can be adopted but the final fifth tier is something that must be grown into. Regardless of tier adopted, a Blossom Witchling shall grow through the other tiers to reach their fifth and shall grow beyond it.
Flame
Flame is the embodiment of the singular flame, like that which dances upon the wick of a candle. While seemingly lonely, it takes a single candle to light up the dark. This power naturally includes fiery energies but also deals with passion, light, creativity, hope, comfort, and the power of the individual. Restoration, protection, and magick are also qualities it holds.
Flame tends to be more of a traditional jack of all trades and a Flame Blossom Witchling can be shaped for any purpose, making it a safe option if you are intrigued by the Blossom Witchlings but can’t decide what you are seeking. They tend to be friendly, warm, and personable.
Rime
Rime is the frost, fog, and mist of the early morning, the chill in the air. It is winter’s subtle lingering influence in spring. While sometimes this influence is faint, other times it can manifest as a nearly debilitating cold snap. It is mostly passive with far reaching effects and has subtle but potent capabilities. Beauty, divination, cloaking, protection, serenity, and mystery are a few properties of Rime.
While most powers create Blossom Witchlings with focused purposes, Rime tends to work with a variety, making each individual Rime Blossom Witchling quite versatile. The drawback is they also do not get as strong in their multiple focuses as other Blossom Witchling achieve in their singular or dual focuses. Breath
Breath is the air, the breeze, which is mutually shared among all living things. In Spring, it carries pollen which allows plants to flourish. Breath is the embodiment of the communal properties of air and how it is shared by all: plants, creatures, and humans alike. Breath focuses on life and the physical world. It is by far the greenest and most verdant of the powers and is in tune with the green powers of nature. It is communion, communication, cleansing, healing, movement, travel, transformation, and abundance.
Breath Blossom Witchlings tend to be nurturers and caregivers, with healing of some sort available to them in their repertoire of skills. Breath Blossom Witchlings do not enjoy conflict, limiting their overall protective capabilities. However, they still offer protection in indirect ways. When not nurturing, they tend to focus on abundance, harmony, cohesion, wealth, prosperity, or attracting positive influences, depending on personality. Blossom Witchlings begin with a humanoid form already available to them, serving as their base, and they gain more complex forms and powers as they grow through their tiers. Often, these forms are creatures but they can be other inspired things, such as a tree with leaves of light or a shadowy mist with star-like motes. Below is a brief description of each tier.
Tier I - This tier begins with the Blossom Witchling’s basic humanoid form. While humanoid, it does not necessarily have to be human and can be inspired by other things, such as a dragonoid or feline bipedal, as examples. Their forms tend to be simpler. This Tier is quite capable with a foundational understanding of their intended arts and a few more exemplary skills, dependent on personality. This tier is fantastic for anyone and everyone, with a pleasant yet palpable energy that doesn’t become too overwhelming.
Tier II - Their humanoid appearance is more complex, with humbler variations. Some Witchlings choose to remain unassuming. They also gain an alternative form, while often creatures, these forms can be anything. This alternate form allows them to channel their abilities in a specific way, dependent on where their priorities are. If protection is their priority, they may take on a more intimidating or agile form. If casting is their priority, they may take on a form that more effectively channels certain energies for working. When in this alternate form, they also have a slight shift in personality that complements the tasks the form is for.
Tier III - Their humanoid appearance can now be potentially larger and more complex. Its alternate form can likewise become grander. Either one depends on the preferences of the Witchling. They gain the ability to create assistants, much like servitors, which can help them carry out tasks or can be directed. The appearance and capabilities of these assistants are determined by the Witchling, and are simple to much more complex. Ordinarily, the assistants are temporary, summoned at a whim for when they are needed. If a Witchling so desires, it can create a permanent assistant, but this requires energy, concentration, and time devoted to this task. The benefit of these assistants are more than the ability to multitask. Anything the assistant comes to learn or experience also provides growth for the Witchling.
Tier IV - Humanoid and Alternate forms continue to strengthen as this tier is reached, but now the assistants also experience their own sort of growth. They are more powerful, easier to create, and much simpler to make permanent. Blossom Witchlings begin to work with the art of Creation. For each Witchling this is different, but essentially things like building realms or forging immortal artifacts, to aid you but also help themselves in whatever particular pursuits they may have. They begin to interact with the world in new ways and help those around them, resulting in raising the quality of life for everyone around the witchling and its human companion.
Tier V - This tier is shrouded in mystery, but it is the goal of each Blossom Witchling to attain it. It is their ultimate goal, but each one must reach it on their own. While it is an objective, they prefer enjoying the journey instead of focusing on only the destination. There are things that they must learn on their way to Tier V, things that can only be experienced, and that they shall experience, through their human companion. Their influence now has great reach and ripples far around them to affect others as well. The goal is to help positively influence the planet, in whatever large or small way they can. This process and duty is viewed as sacred among them, and with the aid of their assistants and their acts of Creation, they are quite capable of achieving their goal.
While their appearances can be influenced or inspired, a large part of how a Blossom Witchling is first formed as a sentient being is organic. This means the Blossom Witchling makes a lot of decisions for itself in what it looks like and in its capabilities, depending on what you both need and want most. It does take to heart anything you suggest, but it will shed anything it finds to be unnecessary “fluff”. This process results in a uniquely powerful being with the ability to make important decisions with ease.
