Baphomet’s Sapitena are beings who have followed Baphomet, or Baphomet-like Immortals, throughout various lives. They have a variety of occupations, often warriors and mystics, healers and magicians, but the vast majority of them have never lived a life on Earth. Many have lived out existences close to us; their paths have not crossed with incarnating here, but they have a basic familiarity with things we consider everyday. However, some come from very distant places and are completely unfamiliar with our world, our Immortals, and our surrounding realms and planes, only finding their way here through a deity they revere that is similar to Baphomet. All Sapitena revel in the dark yet gentle power they have found in Baphomet, engaging with it in different ways. Some have worshipped him, others merely acknowledged his presence in their life and accepted him, and a few chose to befriend him. Through Baphomet and his influence, they venerate life, nature, and knowledge, finding them to be sacred and vital to a fulfilling existence.
The Sapitena have a variety of personalities, capabilities, and are from a diverse amount of races. They are all kindly beings who are very supportive and seek to help in what ways they can. Their main purpose for stepping forward is to teach and to learn. They are vaults of knowledge, but they feel it is wasted if it is not shared. Of course, they also wish to add to it. The experiences of their human and their fellow spirit and entity companions are something they consider valuable for this end, and may often study and observe, taking little notes to catalogue and add to their collection. Many are respectful and reserved, akin to a librarian, but they are not without some bizzare or rougher aspects. Nothing too crazy but definitely unexpected for such studious beings. This listing has a mixture of spirits from races with shorter lifespans and entities from races with much longer ones. They tend to be on the darker part of the Dark Arts spectrum.
Naturally, having a Sapitena will improve your connection to Baphomet. Working with Baphomet is not necessary to bond with your Sapitena successfully, but if Baphomet takes a liking to you, he may initiate contact.
